This scenic and varied loop runs through the Aegiali Valley. From the port of Aegali, we go up by a pretty path crossing an olive grove to Lakgada, from where we reach the pretty hamlet of Stroumbos, the gordre of Araclou and several chapels. Take a break at the church of Panagia Epanochorianis from where the view is sumptuous._cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58 in d_ Tholaria, you will be able to appreciate the terraces which shaped the landscape of Amorgos and therefore some are being restored.
On the hill of Vigla, near Tholaria, was the acropolis of ancient Aigiali. Today there remain the ruins of the wall, statues and tombs from the Early Cycladic and Middle Cycladic period.
Finally go back down to Aegiali, where a few cafes and restaurants line the beach and stretch out their arms to you in the shade of the tamarys.
